FUN,
FOOD, AND FELLOWSHIP are a big part of going
to church at Bethel and being a member of this growing
congregation. Numerous events go on every month and throughout
the year to bring people together in a relaxed environment
and an enjoyable setting. Bethel is an easy place to "fit
in" and to develop lasting friendships. You can "come
by yourself" or you can always invite your friends.
The following is an example of common events at Bethel. Consult the monthly calendar or your weekly bulletin for actual events.
Praise & Worship Day
William Temple once
said, "Worship is the submission of all our nature to
God. It is the quickening of conscience by His holiness; the
nourishment of mind with His truth; the purifying of imagination
by His beauty; the opening of the heart to His love; the surrender
of the will to His purpose and all of this gathered
up in adoration, the most selfless emotion of which our nature
is capable "
Praise & Worship Day is an all-music service where we take time to honor God through song and praise. At times, we bring in a guest musician to lead the worship, and at others we take advantage of the tremendous gifts and talents God has given to our members. Either way... you are sure to be blessed as we spend time in true worship of our Savior and Lord.
When
we connect with God in heartfelt worship, we realize that this
life is not all about us. It's about the Lord.
Friend Day
FRIEND DAY is an ideal occasion to personally invite people we know and care about to be our special guests at church. The services are upbeat and evangelistic. Pastor Gene's messages cover topics relevant and meaningful to your guests. Your diligent and prayerful participation in this outreach event can make a difference for all eternity.
Men's Breakfast
The men's breakfast and fellowship time is a regular event on the Bethel calendar; it begins at 9:00 a.m. and is usually scheduled on the 3rd Saturday of each month. We begin with hearty breakfast cooked by one of the superbly talented men in our congregation. While we're eating, we have a great time of fellowship discussing current events in our lives, workplace, country, world... whatever. We then break into a brief bible study relevant to men who are trying to build courage, character and commitment. After a time of prayer together, you are certain to leave with fresh insight and a renewed sense of strength in your faith.
Come meet with us, and we'll feed your spirit as well as your body!
